Maximum size:  about 4 mm.

Identification:  The body of this aeolid is translucent-white with opaque white on the head and notum. The cerata are translucent with scattered opaque-white dots and white tips. The bright yellow digestive gland can be seen within the cerata. The rhinophores are translucent with gold-yellow pigment and there are a few low, opaque white papillae on their posterior faces.

Natural history:  The single known Cuthona sp. #12 was found in Halimeda kanaloana at 32 m (105 ft).

Distribution:  Maui.

Taxonomic notes:  First recorded in Hawaii from Makena, Maui by PF on Aug. 30, 1995.
