Maximum size:  3.5 mm.

Identification:  The body of this species is translucent-orange with a dusting of opaque blue-white flecks concentrated along the midline and extending onto the head and the bases of the cerata. The remainder of each ceras is yellow with a dark blue medial band and a dusting of lighter blue at its tip. The rhinophores are white with deep-red bases.

Natural history:  Cuthona sp. #6 is a rare species that has been found in exposed rocky locations at 12 m (40 ft).

Distribution:  Maui and Midway: widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific.

Taxonomic notes:  First recorded in Hawaii off Makena, Maui by PF on June 24, 1992.
