Maximum size:  18 mm.

Identification:  The body of this aeolid is translucent white covered with minute, opaque-white flecks. The cerata are flecked with white and there is a thin, orange to yellow subapical band. The rhinophores are perfoliate.

Natural history:  Flabellina sp. #1 is a rare aeolid known from only a few records. Midway animals were found under rubble at depths of 27-30 m (90-100 ft) in an area exposed to strong currents. Maui animals were found in Halimeda kanaloana beds at depths of 9-15 m (29-49 ft).

Distribution:  Maui and Midway.

Taxonomic notes:  First recorded in Hawaii from Midway Atoll by Terry Gosliner and PF in 1993.
