|Maximum size: 4 mm shell
shell of this species is similar to shells of Diniatys
dentifer in sculpture but
lacks the columellar tooth characteristic of that species.
haminoeid #9 is known from two shells: one found in beach drift at Midway
Atoll, the other found in a sand sample taken at 8-16 m (25-54 ft) on the Big Island. Nothing is known
about the living animal.

The two known shells suggest an affinity with Diniatys. It was first recorded in
from Midway Atoll by CP from a sand sample provided by PF in June, 1993.
