Dolabrifera sp. #1

Maximum size: 2 mm shell
length.
Identification:
The
shells of this species are flattened and plate-like
with broad, radiating white bands. They're somewhat variable in width.
Natural history:
Dolabrifera sp. #1
is known only from a handful of
shells found in beach drift from moderately exposed to
exposed sites.
Distribution:
Maui and Midway.
Taxonomic notes:
Carlo Cunha (pers. com.) suggested that these shells are probably from a second, smaller species of Dolabrifera. Phyllaplysia and Petalifera might also be possible IDs.
