Maximum size:
11.3 mm shell diameter (Severns, 2011).
Identification:
This
is
a relatively small, flattened species with a broad
umbilicus and finely beaded spiral cords.
Natural history:
Granosolarium
excavatum has been trawled from a depth of
338-364 m (1109-1194 ft). (Severns, 2011)
Distribution:
Molokai.
Taxonomic notes:
It was first recorded in Hawaii in trawls by the RV
Albatross in 1902.
