Heliacus mighelsi (Philippi, 1853)

Maximum size: 9 mm shell
diameter (Kay, 1979).
Identification:
This
species
has a strongly inflated cream shell. The animal is cream
with opaque white flecks.
Natural history:
Shells
of
Heliacus mighelsi
are moderately rare in beach drift. Live animals are occasionally found
in shallow, rocky habitats in association with zoanthids.
Distribution:
Maui and Oahu.
Taxonomic notes:
It's listed in Tinker, 1958 as Torinia mighelsi.
