Maximum size: 1.7 mm shell
length.
Identification:
This species has a slender shell with an aperture that is constricted
apically, fine axial ribs and fine spiral striae.
Natural history:
Retusa sp. #1 is
known from three shells found in a sand sample taken from 61 m (200
ft).
Distribution:
Maui.
Taxonomic notes:
It was first recorded in Hawaii from off Makena, Maui from a sand sample
provided by Mike Severns and PF on Dec. 4, 1991.
