Scaphander takedai (Habe,
1981)

Maximum size: 7.5 mm shell
length.
Identification:
The shell of this species has an aperture that expands basally and
widely spaced punctate spiral striae. It is marked by interrupted
peach-colored spiral lines.
Natural history:
Scaphander takedai
is
known from only a few shells with the Bishop Museum specimens dredged
from
depths of 73 m (240 ft) to at least 128 m (420 ft).
Distribution:
Oahu.
Taxonomic notes:
Scaphander takedai
was originally listed for Hawaii under the name Nipponoscaphander takedai.
