Spirolaxis rotulacatharinea (Melvill &
Standen, 1903)
Maximum size:
3.5 mm shell diameter.
Identification:
This
species
has
a
helical
shell with a flat margin bordered by granular spiral
cords. It is cream, splotched with darker brown.
Natural history:
Shells
of
Spirolaxis
rotulacatharinea are rare in sand samples
from Halimeda
kanaloana beds taken at depths of around
10-20 m (33-66 ft).

Maui.
