Carminodoris sp. #2
Maximum size:  20 mm (Gosliner, et. al., 2008).

Identification:  This species is similar to Carminodoris bifurcata with bi-colored branchia and flame-like white markings on its rhinophores. However, it differs from that species in having proportionately smaller tubercles.

Natural history:  Carminodoris sp. #2 is known from only two animals.

Distribution:  Maui, French Frigate Shoals and Maro Reef.

Taxonomic notes:  First recorded in Hawaii off Makena, Maui by PF on Aug. 25, 1993.
