Chelidonura sp. #5
|Maximum size: 2 mm.
This is a tiny, solid black animal with only a hint of orange spotting at its front and orange tips on its "tails".
known from only one animal found in a Halimeda kanaloana bed at a depth of 12-14 m (40-47 ft).
recorded in Hawaii from Hekili Point, Maui by CP; on March 30, 2017.
There is some chance that it might be a highly aberrant juvenile of
another listed species although it's not a close match for previous
juveniles. There's also a chance that it might be a live Chelidonura(?) sp #3 but the shell was not extracted for comparison.
