Identification:  This is a relatively small, flattened species with a broad umbilicus and finely beaded spiral cords. Natural history:  Granosolarium excavatum has been trawled from a depth of 338-364 m (1109-1194 ft). (Severns, 2011) Distribution:  Molokai.
