Hallaxa
cf. translucens Gosliner & Johnson, 1994

Hallaxa cf. translucens
Maximum size:  6 mm.

Identification:  This is a cream Hallaxa decorated with irregular brown spots. The rhinophores are brown.

Natural history:  Hallaxa cf. translucens is known from a single 6 mm animal.

Distribution:  Big Island: may be known from the Philippines.

Taxonomic notes:  This species appears similar to the animal from the Philippines illustrated as Hallaxa translucens in Gosliner, et. al., 2015. However, we're opting to use "cf" pending further work. It was first recorded in Hawaii from the Big Island by the ARMS team on Aug. 13, 2016
