Identification:  This species is similar to Marseniopsis sp. #1 in form with six prominent ridges running from the margin to the apex and defining a roughly hexagonal apical depression. It differs from that species in its larger size (10-15 mm) and lighter pink color. Also, its apical depression contains a cluster of black spots. Natural history:  Marseniopsis sp. #2 is known from a single animal found under a rock at < 4 m (< 13 ft) at a moderately exposed site. Distribution:  Maui. Taxonomic notes:  It was first recorded in Hawaii from the west half of Ahihi Bay, Maui by CP in either 2000 or 2005. However, it was not collected or photographed.
