|Maximum size: 9 mm.
translucent gray with opaque white flecks scattered
irregularly over the mantle except along the margin where they become
more concentrated. The body is uniformly covered with tiny gold-brown
dots with some slightly larger dots along the mantle edge. The
rhinophore clubs and gills are tan, tipped with white.
rare species found under rubble in moderately protected locations from
11-15 m (35-50 ft). It lays a cream-colored egg mass.
Maui: also recorded from Papua New Guinea and Japan.
Taxonomic notes: It was first
recorded from Hawaii off Makena, Maui by PF on March 30, 1991 and is listed in many sources as a Noumea sp.
