Umbraculoidea
The order
Umbraculoidea (= Tylodinoidea), the umbrella shells, includes species with large, external cap-shaped shells
and plume-like gills located between the mantle and foot on the left
side. They are nocturnal sponge feeders. The order was formerly
included with the Pleurobranchomorpha in the order Notaspidea.
There are two families known from Hawaii.
