Anisocycla sp. #1
Maximum size: 1.4 mm.
Identification:
This
is a very small, smooth species with an angled suture. It differs from Anisocycla
hawaiiensis in having a less elevated protochonch.
Natural history:
We've
only found a few of these shells in sand samples.
Distribution:
Maui.
Taxonomic notes:
There's
some possibility that these shells might be within the range of variation of Anisocycla
hawaiiensis.
