Maximum size: 15 mm.
Identification:
This
is
a flattened, dusky-yellow species. Darker brown blotches are
concentrated into patches on the sides of the notum and there are three
small white patches lateral to the midline on each side in mature animals. The margin of
the notum is flecked with white and there are a few brown flecks on the underside.
Natural history:
Unidentified
discodorid #2 is known from two animals, one found drifting at a moderately exposed site.
Distribution:
Maui: also known from Australia, the Marshall Islands and the
Philippines.
Taxonomic notes:
It was first recorded in Hawaii from Pu‘u ola‘i, Maui by PF on Oct. 30, 1991.
