Odostomella chorea (Hedley, 1909)
Maximum size: 1.7 mm shell
length.
Identification:
The shell of this species is ovate with prominent axial ribs. It
has four whorls when mature and is cream with spiral brown lines. The
animal is cream.
Natural history:
The shells of Odostomella chorea
are moderately rare in beach drift. Live animals are found occasionally
in shallow rocky habitats.
Distribution:
Maui and Oahu.
Taxonomic notes: This species is listed as Herviera patricia Pilsbry, 1918 in Kay, 1979.
